Patricia, my sister had her last chemo treatmen last Thursday. Things went terribly, but then that is Murphys' Law, is it not. I help[ed her get her house kind of together today. Trash day is tomorrow... She is planning to go back to work on the 27th of March. I hope that she can make it.

I thought you might like my business card holder.

Jewels that remind me of Spring

Today it is 35 degrees but the sun is out. Tricia and I are going to KU Med for her 4th round of chemo. We will probably be there until about 8:00 tonight.
My cousin Terry has fallen off her back porch and broken her pelvic bone in 2 places. She is in the hospital but Medicaid has said that they will not pay for any rehab or anything. Missouri is really a sad place for the poor. Our Govenor Matt Blount really should be removed from office about this type of thing.
The necklace is really cool. The blue and green glass remind me of Spring.

Happy New Year!

Gus is feeling the Holiday letdown. I have been working all week on stuff for Gifted Hands Gallery. I think they are going to have to be my only focus for awhile.
Tricia has her fourth chemo treatment on Wednesday.

Merry Christmas to All

We have had our Christmas due to Family health reasons. I hope all of you have a wonderful and beautiful Christmas. You are in my heart and my prayers.

This angel dog is Penny and you would not believe what my sister and I had to do to get this picture. Did I call her an angel?

My sister, Tricia had her 3rd Chemo treatment on Thursday. So far she is not sick this time. She is halfway finished.

I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this Pay It Forward exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow, or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog. So basically, if you comment and you’re on, I’ll send you something that I've made!Once you sign up, copy and paste the above paragraph on your blog, and three other people will receive your handmade gifts

Today I have joined a new group. It is fiberartsandmixedmedia.ning.com. It looks like it can be a lot of fun.
Today is rest day after the three most useless days of my life. We did a show in Edgerton, MO called Pioneer Days and actually sold nothing. It is so depressing to do a terrible show. I really believe the economy is a lot worse than we know. I have another Art Show in 2 weeks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Getting Ready for the First Show

This is the mad dash week before the first show. I seem to not be making much progress but I shall pervail(I hope). I have seven shows and one trunk show before December. I hope I sell out for every one.

I'm just sitting here tonight pondering where I actually belong in the universe. I seem to run into a lot of deadends. I know most people do but I seem to go the wrong direction at those dead ends more often than not.
Today all of the scare of Mel and her family moving has dissipated, at least for the time being. Rob doesn't seem to be able to find that job that wants to pay him huge amounts of money that he thought he would. They have sold their house and moved in with his Mom where I quess they will be for a while.
Today all I got accomplished is running around and paying the bills. Nothing accomplished in my studio but Mel and I did manage to get Rayce to actually swim!!! YooHoo!!!! We have been working on that all Summer.

To Open or not to open?

After my last art show, I am just about ready to scream. This should have been a great show. Lots of people etc. but I have never sold so little in my career. Some people(family and friends) think I should open a shop. I don't know.

We looked at some spaces yesterday and they are just so expensive.
